Pinellas Sheriff Bob Gualtieri Endorses James Grant for Florida House District 64 Seat

Pinellas County, FL (May 16, 2018) – James Grant, Republican candidate for the Florida House of Representatives, District 64, has received the endorsement of Pinellas Sheriff Bob Gualtieri. This endorsement builds on the momentum that continues to build around Grant’s campaign for the Florida House and last week’s endorsement by the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

Sheriff Gualtieri is not only an accomplished public servant, he is also an esteemed community leader with long-time ties to Pinellas County.  Regarding his endorsement of Grant’s campaign, Gualtieri remarked, "James Grant is a principled leader and dedicated advocate for law enforcement and first responders in Florida.  We consistently partner to ensure that legislation considered in Tallahassee incorporates the everyday impacts to our streets in Pinellas County.  I am pleased to endorse James Grant's candidacy for the Florida House of Representatives, District 64, so we can continue working together to keep our community safe."

James Grant responded, “In addition to being a respected leader in and beyond our community, Sheriff Gualtieri is a tremendous resource whom I lean on regularly.  His experience and insight on issues is invaluable as we consider legislation that affects all Floridians.  Whether it has been confronting the most prolific and repeat criminal offenders, the opioid crisis, preserving due process and privacy rights in the age of technology, and so much more, Sheriff Gualtieri has been a rock-solid partner.  I am as humbled as I am honored by Sheriff Gualtieri's endorsement.”

James W. Grant currently represents District 64, which is comprised of northwest Hillsborough and north Pinellas Counties, in the Florida House of Representatives.  He is a co-founder of Health IT company CareSync, where he currently serves as the Senior Solutions Architect.  Grant earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Auburn University and his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida.
